Sierra Carvery is a young Black woman from Halifax, Nova Scotia who, as she completes a university history paper, gets distracted by thoughts about down home and heading back for the Africville Reunion. She recounts these experiences through storytelling, song and spoken word. Scotian Journey reveals the history and stories about Nova Scotia that are still relevant today, but not yet in the history books.

Realistic
Noor is the tale of three brothers attempting to rescue their sister Noor, who has been kidnapped during Ramadan. Each brother represents a different ideological position in the contemporary Islamic world that could be set in Baghdad but also Cairo, Karachi or Kabul. While exploring the crisis of modern Islam, Noor is a heartfelt treatise for religious tolerance.

A series of vignettes illustrate the ripple effect of one of the deadliest natural disasters in recorded history and ponders what happens when the events that bind us together are the same events that tear us apart. The play provides brief glimpses into the lives of a sphinx-like escort, a grieving father, a conflicted priest, brothers of legend, a felonious housewife, an accountant of time, an orphaned boy, a radio shock jock and a man who finds things; each primarily connected by the cataclysmic 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that claimed the lives of over a quarter million people..
