Swoony Planet is the lyrical story of immigrants searching for place in the vast American landscape. Kirtana is frantic to reunite with her runaway son, Farouk. Jessica, who has adjusted to life in the Midwest, aids in her search. Working together, they come upon heartbreak and friendship. Artie, Jessica’s son, seeks out his long-lost father who abandoned him 16 years ago. These are only some of the characters set on a quest in Swoony Planet as the play paints a portrait of a rapidly changing America.
