A group of urban Egyptian hipster secularists gather every night on a houseboat. They are caught between legacies of colonialism and the fundamentalism sweeeping the Arab world.

Grace, fearing for the life of her unborn child, calls out to God and he appears to her. She is surprised to discover that the God with whom she must negotiate her child's life is native.
