Stretching Hide

By Dale Lakevold, Darren Racine

A young Metis lawyer returns with his non-Indigenous fiancé to his reserve in rural Saskatchewan for an idyllic long weekend. Instead he is faced with challenges to his law practice, his relationship with his father and other band members as well as with his girlfriend. The stakes are raised when he is accused by game wardens of poaching deer. Creates a portrait of a community not often seen on Canadian stages.
