Three siblings search a park for their missing mother, and in the process, reveal conflicts and secrets that threaten to tear their family apart whether they find their Mom, or not. Each of them struggles with the battle between the needs of the others and their own emotional survival.

Ottawa in the 1920's, pre-legalized birth control. A young working-class girl, falls in love with and marries a stable-hand. After 2 difficult childbirths, doctors tell her that she shouldn't have any more children, but don't tell her how to prevent pregnancy. When she inevitably becomes pregnant again, they face a grim dilemma.
